I came across this book while looking for animations on YouTube to explain some concepts to my students in AP Environmental Science. I purchased a copy and showed it to my students. After reviewing my copy, many did make the purchase. They used it to review for the AP ES exam and highly recommended it to incoming students. Throughout the course, it helps students see the important concepts and vocabulary in a very concise presentation. During the few weeks of review prior to the exam, the students found they could review the whole class in one or two sittings. Great book! Definitely helped me in my AP Environmental Science class.
APES in a Box is a guaranteed 5 on the AP Exam. Benjamin Wood (the author) was my teacher when I was taking APES and I'm VERY lucky that he was. Not only was he a great teacher, but he's also legit. He's an AP grader, been at the top, and KNOWS what YOU need to know to get a 5. This book is the "yellow brick road" to a 5 on the APES exam. I guarantee it.
Benjy's advice for students taking the APES exam was invaluable to several of my students. I recommend this book to any teacher who is teaching the class the first time or to students who are preparing for the exam.
